Acer Laptop Fan Noise Problem & Service Options?

I have an Acer Aspire 5670 laptop, works perfectly, except for the fan makes a birdie at the lower end speeds. The fan works well at high speeds-finals. In any case, I get it fixed, but where should I take? I my warranty from Acer, but I am a college student between home (SF CA) and school (Philadelphia PA). I live in a dorm too. I want to fix things fast (hopefully) instead of sending it somewhere never to be seen again (Acer many horror stories) I feel its a simple repair, fan, probably need only be tightened to the structure or need some "oil". (But I do not want to void my warranty, or enter the computer and find a problem can not fix) Any educated suggestions? What price am seeing if I went to a repair place in Cali? How long can you take? I send it to where Acer wants? Is there any way to make a repair shop to honor warranty from Acer? Is there a list of places that do that? thanx a lot =)

You do not need to take the laptop home to be repaired ... Acer as any supplier of the computer for repair shops ..... I always the URL below .... If your system is under Warrranty, use the link below to generate a repair on your computer then sent to the appropriate repair station .... Not sure what the return is for Acer ....
