When should I replace my Apple PowerBook G4 battery?
I have the battery in September last year, how do I know when it is time to replace it, and should I buy the new one from apple, or third vendor? Im not sure if the batteries wear after, do they?
Unless you notice a significant decrease amount of time the battery lasts between charges, there is no reason to replace it. The battery is designed to be recharged thousands of times and you should be no problems for years. If for some reason, started only lasting a short time between the cost, I would like to propose a new Apple. Third party suppliers will not maintain the same quality the official parts do.
