What position does the ribbon for the controller / memory piece should be in a PS2?

After much insistence, I was back in my PS2 power ribbon and it works again. Now I just need to back the ribbon controllers and memory cards, and I will 100% good to go. Exactly what position the ribbon must be confronted to connect properly? I've tried both sides, top and bottom, hooked into the port, but nothing works. The port itself is cracked open, but a bit of Mickey Mousing my part must solve.

You must find the picture of motherboard for PS2, but it is exactly for your model, because there are many revisions of the hardware out there.
