This NGO is actively involved in dealing with accreditation and legitimacy concerns of online distance learning centres and their students. They are in-charge of developing policies through research for online institutions and programs.
You must be detailed when you incorporate your online degree in your resume, specifying the program accreditation, curriculum and its relevance to the position applied for. Your potential employer will most likely verify him or herself, the validity and accreditation of your chosen course. It is but natural for employers to eye you with suspiciously upon seeing your online degree on your resume, but he or she will ease up to you as soon as your degree proves to be authentic. Do not take it personally, employers simply wish to see an accreditation from the US Department of Education to ensure that your online training has in fact, taught you well.
