Dells office extended family now includes the new Inspiron 518. Supported by the name of Dell, the quality and power, this mini-tour desk provides high performance for any type of user. With a glossy black case and handsome chrome accents, this office can make any office or room to watch a little more exotic. Budget Inspiron and functionality, is geared slightly more towards families and students that those individuals techy there.

The bare-boot the skeletal system are $ 329. (Bare-Bone, in this sense, the minimum technical review by a little.) Features can be added Dells via interactive construction process. The Inspiron 518 May not the least expensive office market, but is a decent price considering performance and the features it offers.

Under the hood you'll find a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, 2GB SDRAM DDR2 667 MHz, 256 ATI Radeon HD 3450, and one 320GB 5400 rpm hard drive. The Inspiron 518 also has Gigabit Ethernet for fast connection speeds, dual layer DVD burner, and runs on Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 (32 bit).

Note that there is no option to install the 64 bit version of Windows Vista. Unfortunately, the Inspiron 518 is not flexible in this regard because it only supports an operating system 32 bit. 64-bit operating systems require more memory, that this system does not. If you are planning to upgrade to Windows 7, you must first upgrade the memory, and other material necessary to get the job until the processing speed of a 64-bit OS.

The overall design of the Insprion 518 is quite elegant and easy on the eyes. Dell does not stop with the general appearance, they actually added a plateau at top of the mini tower for easy storage of small plug-n-play. In addition, there were two USB 2.0 ports added, close the tray, allowing users to charge and easily connect with these devices.

Dell offers consumers user-friendly interface and easy navigation. To enhance the experience users, they have now added what is called the Dell Dock. Similar to the box Vistas, you can customize the dock to hold icons for your favorite applications and files. This gives you easy one-click access to those things you use most. You can customize where the dock appears on your desktop with the option to completely shut off.

The Dell Inspiron 518 does not offer consumers the ability to add Blu-ray optical drive. Depending on what you had in mind for the office, this may not be a hindrance at all. The graphics card that comes with the system, is a little on the low end as well. Unlike other Dell machines, there is no option to upgrade this feature on personalization your version. The graphics card that comes with the Inspiron 518 is decent, but not a high end card for games.

The Inspiron 518 is a computer friendly budget. Combine that with its high performance and number of functions it offers, and you have yourself a computer every day amazing. That you're looking for a computer for a student or an entire family, the Inspiron 518 is a good fit.
